Oral Communication
Semester-long course - 1/2 credit at Juda High School
3 credits at Blackhawk Technical College (with grade of B- or better)
Oral Communication is an articulated class with Blackhawk Technical College. Students who earn a B- or better for their grade in the class will have the class count as their Oral Communications class at BTC as well as at other area technical colleges. Oral Communication is a semester-long class that is broken down into four units: Foundations of Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Group Communication, and Public Speaking. During the first three units, students given a number of individual and group presentations. During the Public Speaking unit, students write and present three speeches: a narrative speech, an informative speech, and a persuasive speech.
