Physical Science

Physical science is the study of non-living things. The two major focuses of physical science are chemistry and physics.

PHYSICAL SCIENCE

Sophomores

This course gives the student a basic background in chemistry and physics, preparing them for further coursework in these subjects. First semester is a study of physics topics including: basic science skills, motion, forces and motion, forces in fluids, work, power and machines, and energy. Second semester is the study of chemistry topics including: lab equipment and use, properties of matter, atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonds and nomenclature, and chemical reactions.
