Baking Class
Semester – ½ Credit
Offered Spring Semester - Open to Freshmen-Seniors
Prerequisite: Food & Nutrition
The Baking & Pastry course will include units on quick breads, yeast breads, cakes, cookies, pies and pastries, candies, and desserts. Students will get to explore the career possibilities in the baking & pastry industry. The field of entrepreneurship will be discussed and possibly practiced in the class. At least one major project will be planned and completed per quarter.
