Special Education Services
The School District of Juda provides individualized instruction for eligible students in grades Pre-K through 12. We currently have a staff of three highly qualified certified special educators and five paraprofessional aides serving a special needs population of 47-students. Occupational and Physical Therapy services are also provided to eligible students. Speech/Language services as well as psychological services are also available.
A Building Consultation Team (BCT) serves as a resource for teachers and families to attempt to resolve student learning and behavioral issues. Parent input and guidance is an essential part of identifying success strategies at the building-level. When the BCT is unable to satisfactorily resolve learning or conduct problems, students are usually referred for a comprehensive assessment to help determine specific learning needs and consider eligibility for special education services.
Parents or professional staff who suspect that a student may have a disability are encouraged to contact the Pupil Service Director.Â
