Must have a grade of C or better both semesters of Biology I

Human Anatomy - This course is designed for the college-bound student and is faster paced and has higher expectation than Biology I or Biology II. The course is recommended for anyone interested in an intensive look at the structure and function of the human body. The course begins at the chemical and cellular level of organization and works through the major body systems. Topics covered include: anatomical terminology, basic chemistry, cells, tissues, the skeletal system, muscular system, integumentary system, blood, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, and nervous system. Lab work includes the use of the microscope, preserved slides, and dissection is required.
