Inclement Weather Procedure


     The 2018 Green County Cheese Days Prince & Princess Contest will be held on June 2, 2018.  To qualify, one must be 6 years old by Friday, September 14, 2018, and not older than 9 by Sunday, September 16, 2018, and must be a Green County resident.  A parent or guardian also must accompany the child to all events as well as provide transportation to and from all events.  Judging will be held from 8 to 11 a.m., and the awards ceremony will be held at noon.  Applications can be found at www.cheesedays.com or can be found in the Juda School District office.  After applications are completed, they must be emailed to witt52@tds.net or can be mailed to Heidi Witt, N5077 Gutzmer Road, Monticello, WI 53570.  



     Kubly’s Automotive will be holding a free car care clinic open to all high school students and their parents on April 21.  The clinic will be held at W896 Ten Eyck Road, Brodhead, and is for Brodhead, Juda, Albany and Orfordville School Districts.  Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. and the clinic is from 9 to 11 a.m.  The clinic will focus on basic maintenance, how to reduce maintenance costs, safety concerns, the importance of warning lights and gauges, and how to save on fuel costs.  There will also be opportunities to get to know your car one on one with a certified technician.  Space is limited to the first 25 students, so make sure to pre-register.  Sign-up sheets can be found in the Juda School District office and also can be turned in there.  They would like registrations by April 18. 



     Up and coming is this year’s Juda Hill Climb, which is being organized by Spanish Club. It will be held on Saturday, May 19. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m., and the 5k Run/2k Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. One can register online at bit.ly/judahillclimb2018. Come run for a purpose!    


      Prom will be held on Saturday, May 5.  Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. Grand March will begin at 8:30 p.m. The dance will go until 11 p.m., and Post Prom will begin at 12 a.m. and go until 3:30 a.m.  If you’re bringing a date from a different school, do not forget to stop by the office and fill out a permission slip!    


     Officer applications were turned in by students interested in being an FFA Officer for 2018-2019. The new officer team will be announced shortly.  



     The National Honor Society is looking for community projects for Pride Day.  Please email Mrs. Way at way@judaschool.com if you have any spring projects you would like help with!

     The annual FFA banquet is coming up shortly. The banquet is on April 22, and it will be held in the school. The banquet hall will open at 1:00, and the ceremony will begin at 2:00.  The food will be available at 1:00. The banquet will include awards ceremonies for FFA members who have participated in events throughout the year.  The FFA hopes to see you there!

The Juda School District is working with CESA 2 (our Cooperative Educational Service Agency) to gather feedback and data on different systems and processes to continue to provide high quality education to our students and our community.  We are asking you to please take a short survey to give us some feedback.

     Juda ForeFathers will sponsor a road clean-up at 1 p.m. on April 21.  The project will begin at L&S Truck Service, Inc.  Safety vests and rubber gloves will be provided for all participants with pizza and soda afterward.  The project will take about 3 hours to complete; if you can only help for part of the time, that is fine.  For more information, contact Darci Steinmann at (608)558-7447.
